National promises to remove right to silence in child murder cases

National has promised to remove the right to silence when a child is murdered. RNZ reported the commitment as part of party pledges on crime, health and screen time ahead of the 7 November election. The right to silence allows a person to refuse to answer questions. RNZ reported it in its daily campaign coverage.
