EPA drops claim that PFOA and PFOS were phased out in U.S.

The Environmental Protection Agency withdrew its claim that PFOA and PFOS, two widely studied PFAS chemicals, had been phased out in the U.S. Its website now says PFOA may still be produced, imported and used. The change followed a complaint from Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.
