550,000 march across France over fuel prices and living costs

About 550,000 people joined about 110 marches across France on Saturday, October 17, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said. Protesters rallied against rising fuel prices, higher cost of living and deteriorating public services, including schools. The demonstrations were largely peaceful.
