Netflix cuts roughly 1,000 jobs, 6% of workforce

Netflix has laid off roughly 1,000 staff, about 6% of employees, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 14 October 2026. Co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters announced the reduction in a staff email, according to the report. The Hollywood Reporter described it as the largest cut since 2022, when Netflix laid off about 150 staff, Reuters reported.
