Four parties back Queenstown bed tax if in government
Labour's Barbara Edmonds, New Zealand First's Shane Jones, Greens' Chlöe Swarbrick and Opportunity Party's Qiulae Wong said they would back a bed tax — a nightly charge on visitor stays — for Queenstown if in government, RNZ reported. They were speaking at the ASB Great finance debate in Queenstown, before 800 people, moderated by TVNZ's Jack Tame.
