Women's Basij Commander Killed Near Chabahar Port

A commander of a women's unit in Iran's Basij — a volunteer paramilitary force — was shot dead outside her home in Mehrestan district, near Chabahar port, on October 14. Iran blamed externally backed armed groups operating in Sistan-Baluchestan, a province near the Pakistan border, without naming one.
