California opens driving review of Paul Pelosi after hit-and-run

The Napa County Sheriff's Office has referred Paul Pelosi, 86, to California's DMV following a July 2026 hit-and-run in Yountville. The state's Re-Examination program can order a driving test, medical evaluation, or license suspension—separate from any criminal charges the District Attorney pursues. His license is now formally under state scrutiny.
