Commercial spacecraft tested on NASA's aging Swift Observatory

Katalyst Space Technologies launched its Link spacecraft in July 2026 to dock with and reboost NASA's Swift Observatory—a non-cooperative satellite it cannot directly command—by 150 miles. The mission represents the first operational test of in-space servicing under real constraints. Success validates the commercial model for extending aging satellite life.
