Almost half of women's professionals consider early exit, FIFPRO finds

Almost half of professional women's footballers are considering retiring early. FIFPRO's 2026 survey of 800 players found 49% weighing an early exit. Money led the reasons, cited by 59%, with 46% pointing to psychological stress. That is the game losing talent it cannot afford to lose.
