Carpenter targets Furbank duel to reignite England bid

Sale full-back Joe Carpenter told BBC Sport he wants to outshine England rival George Furbank when Sale host Harlequins at Corpacq Stadium on Sunday 11 October to force his way back into England reckoning. Furbank was first-choice this summer before appendicitis; Carpenter, capped once against USA in July 2025, has not featured since.
