FX's The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, a spinoff — meaning a new series built from an earlier one — moves Snowfall's crack-epidemic story to 1990s Los Angeles around West Coast hip-hop, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Malcolm Spellman is showrunner, the lead writer-producer in charge, for an eight-episode first season, the report says.
