Xbox CEO says Xbox hit all-time low before return to growth

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma told staff Xbox was declining in hours spent, players and revenue at the start of the year, in remarks reported 6 October 2026. She said "after an all time low, we've started to return to growth," at more than 2 to 3 times levels. The town hall followed mass layoffs and studio closures in Xbox's "reset."
