TikTok adds AI shopping helper with in-app checkout

TikTok is launching an AI Shopping Assistant with one-click Buy Direct checkout, so purchases happen without leaving the app. The chat-based assistant remembers context and preferences and answers questions on details, sizing, shipping and availability. Built with Shopify, Salesforce, Shoplazza and Stripe, it keeps discovery and purchase inside the For You feed.
