Italian president makes first state visit to Monaco

Italian President Sergio Mattarella visited Monaco on Oct. 2-3, 2026, the first state visit by an Italian president. Prince Albert II of Monaco invited him. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcomed Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. The program included an evening at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and a state banquet.
