ICC shelves World Club Championship until 2031 after Big Three objection

The ICC has shelved a World Club Championship for T20 franchise sides until 2031 at the earliest after opposition from England, Australia and India. A Dubai operations workshop proposed no new events. The boards say the calendar is full unless existing events are cut. The 2027-31 Future Tours Programme, the master schedule, will mirror the current cycle.
