Parliamentary Rugby Team's charity matches bring MPs together across party lines

MPs play five to six charity rugby matches yearly around New Zealand, increasingly pairing rugby with other sports. These fixtures are among the few regular events uniting MPs across party lines outside the chamber. The Rumble in Russell on June 26 combined rugby and netball at Russell Sports Club in Northland, with free admission supporting the local community.
