Scholastic to acquire Cottage Door Press for about US$71 million

Scholastic will acquire Cottage Door Press for approximately US$71 million before customary purchase price adjustments, the routine final balancing of the books. The deal is set to close at the end of 2026. Cottage Door Press will join Scholastic's Children's Book Group, with its existing publishing team remaining. Scholastic called it "a leading, fast-growing innovator in early childhood publishing."
