Ben Sevier to become Hachette Book Group chief executive on 1 January 2027

Ben Sevier will become chief executive of Hachette Book Group, the United States publishing business, on 1 January 2027. Hachette announced the succession on 29 September 2026, according to Publishers Marketplace. Sevier now heads Grand Central Publishing, a fiction and nonfiction division inside the group, and succeeds David Shelley.
