Sundance Institute names 19 grantees for $1m+ 2026 Documentary Fund

Sundance Institute named 19 filmmaker-led projects as its 2026 Documentary Fund grantees, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 29 September 2026. The teams will share more than $1 million in unrestricted funding, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Backers are Open Society Foundations, John Templeton Foundation, MacArthur Foundation and Free People, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
