CBS VMAs broadcast started 22 minutes late after NFL overrun

The CBS broadcast of the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards started 22 minutes late on September 27 after the Baltimore Ravens-Dallas Cowboys NFL game overran, Billboard reported. The ceremony at Los Angeles' Peacock Theater continued on schedule. The VMAs account said at 7:33 p.m. ET the show would air on CBS after football and stream on Paramount+.
