Quake Champions ends eight-year free-to-play run at £8.99 / US$9.99 on Steam

id Software ended eight years of free-to-play for Quake Champions on 23 September 2026. The shooter, a live-service game updated in seasons after launch, is Steam-only and costs £8.99 / US$9.99. The Microsoft Store version is discontinued. Existing Steam players receive the full version free.
