BBC expected to name TV and radio closures in £500m cuts

The BBC is expected early next week to unveil "audience-facing" closures to TV and radio services, Deadline reported. The closures form part of a plan to save £500 million ($660M). Nothing is confirmed, Deadline reported, and a BBC spokesperson declined to comment. Director general Matt Brittin told staff in June commissioning spend will fall £80M, Deadline reported.
