Netflix becomes France's largest private funder with €308m 2025 investment

Netflix invested €308 million in French creation in 2025, becoming France's largest private film and television funder for the first time, Variety reported. The sum, per the same report, splits as €250 million in audiovisual, meaning TV and streaming, and €58 million in cinema. Canal+ stayed top in cinema alone with €156 million, Variety reported.
