Sakana AI's Fugu Routes Tasks to Specialized AI Models

Sakana AI launched Fugu, a multi-agent system that directs coding, math, and reasoning tasks to the most suitable AI model available, accessed through an OpenAI-compatible interface. Rather than pooling all responses, Fugu selects the best agent for each task, balancing speed against quality. The system moved from beta to commercial availability in roughly two months, treating orchestrated agent inference as a managed service rather than leaving it to developers to build themselves.
