Stellar Blade left Shift Up with about three months of salary funds

Shift Up CEO Hyung-Tae Kim said Stellar Blade development once left the company able to pay salaries for about three months. He made the remarks in an interview with Korean outlet Inven, reported by Eurogamer on 23 September 2026. Kim said the studio sought investor funding and was told the game was too risky.
