Activision to develop next Halo game, Xbox confirms

Xbox confirmed on 22 September 2026 that Activision will develop the next Halo title. The announcement came in a post titled "Continuing Our Reset" on Xbox Wire. Xbox said a new, purpose-built Activision team will lead the work, separate from ongoing Call of Duty development and plans.
