Venice Biennale's flying synagogue destroyed by 50-knot winds

Nabatele, architect Anna Kamyshan's helium balloon carrying a wooden shtetl synagogue, was destroyed over the Venice lagoon on 17 September, The Art Newspaper reported. Shown as an official collateral event, a side project outside main venues, of the Venice Biennale in Venice, it was planned for 20 knots, Kamyshan said, and failed at 50 knots.
