Paramount settles states' suit to clear $111bn WBD takeover hurdle

Paramount settled with California and other states, clearing a major antitrust hurdle for its $111 billion Warner Bros. Discovery takeover, Reuters reported. Under a five-year consent decree, meaning a court-enforced promise, Paramount and WBD cable networks will negotiate separately with pay-TV operators, Deadline reported. Paramount says it has satisfied all closing conditions.
