Tyler Mitchell wins US$250,000 Don Tyson Prize for 2026

Brooklyn-based photographer and filmmaker Tyler Mitchell has won the 2026 Don Tyson Prize for the Advancement of American Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, announced on 22 September 2026. The US$250,000 award, given every two years at launch as a US$200,000 prize, makes Mitchell its sixth recipient, the museum said.
