Nirvana to receive Video Vanguard at 2026 VMAs

Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard lifetime achievement distinction at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 28, Billboard reported. The show airs on MTV and CBS. The band never previously won the award and is the first rock band honoured since Duran Duran in 2003, and first inactive act since The Beatles in 1984.
