Fan fined for throwing bottle at umpires after prelim final

Victoria Police said one fan was fined for throwing a bottle and ten were ejected after Brisbane beat Hawthorn by nine points in Saturday's preliminary final at the MCG. Police said umpires took cover after the late holding-the-ball call — failure to dispose when tackled — against Jarman Impey. The AFL said throwers would be banned for minimum five years.
