Metropolitan Museum breaks ground on Tang Wing, due to open in 2030

The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan has broken ground on the Tang Wing for Modern and Contemporary Art, the museum said. According to the museum, the 126,000-square-foot wing will provide 69,500 square feet of exhibition space, nearly 50% more than the current wing. It is slated to open in 2030.
