Metropolitan Museum of Art acquires 38 Chang Dai-chien paintings

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York announced on September 17 the acquisition of 38 paintings by Chinese ink painter Chang Dai-chien, also known as Zhang Daqian, from the collection of his daughter Sing Sheng Chang, according to its press release. The museum said a 2021 promised gift of a dozen Chang works already forms part of its holdings.
