Paramount proposes extra $300m yearly US film spend to settle states case

Paramount has proposed spending at least $300 million more a year on US film production than in 2025, Variety reported 21 September 2026. Chief David Ellison said the 12-state antitrust settlement, meaning a claim the Warner Bros. Discovery takeover harms competition, records 30+ films a year.
