NPR culture editor Rose Friedman dies of cancer at 38

Rose Friedman, NPR's culture editor and co-creator of its Books We Love reading guide, died of cancer at her home in New York City on 17 September. She was 38. Friedman joined NPR in 2010, working as an editor and reporter on the arts desk before leading culture coverage and helping lead the America 250 series.
