Traffic Delay Leads to Roadside Birth Near Golden Gate Park

Karollyn and partner Nate were headed to the hospital Saturday afternoon when traffic near Golden Gate Park forced them to stop as labor progressed. Karollyn gave birth to a healthy baby girl at the roadside, helped by a passing doula — a trained birth support worker — before paramedics arrived. Both were taken to hospital in good condition.
