UK blocks export of £4.6 million Antico Seated Nymph

The UK government has placed an export bar, a temporary block on taking a cultural object abroad, on Seated Nymph by Italian sculptor Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi, known as Antico, The Art Newspaper reported. The c.1503 bronze, valued at £4.6 million according to the report, remains while UK galleries seek funds to match the price.
