Liu Wei's four sculptures open on the Met's Fifth Avenue facade

Four large-scale hybrid sculptures by Beijing-based artist Liu Wei opened Sept. 17, 2026 on the Fifth Avenue facade of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the museum said. Titled The Genesis Facade Commission: Liu Wei, Speculation, it runs through June 8, 2027, the museum said. Hybrid here means part one thing, part another.
