Trump-backed vote to close Kennedy Center draws human-chain protest

About 1,500 people formed a human chain around the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC on 18 September 2026, The Art Newspaper reported. The "Hands Around the Kennedy Center" rally followed a Trump-backed board vote to close the centre, Al Jazeera reported.
