Sydney's Hot Morning Then Fast 10-Degree Drop

Sydney topped 35C before midday on 21 September, then a south-southeasterly change — a cooler wind shift from the south — dropped some suburbs 10 degrees in 30 minutes. Observatory Hill reached 32.7C at 10:40am, then fell about 10C within hours. Tuesday's city forecast is 18-19C, a return to much cooler conditions.
