Angh wins Toronto Film Festival Platform prize

India's Angh, feature debut of Theja Rio, won Toronto Film Festival's Platform prize, Variety reported on 21 September. The Nagaland-set 1960s drama, the only Indian title in the jury-selected strand, centres on an elderly Konyak chief and son, Variety reported. Jury cited refreshing perspective and strength of filmmaking, TIFF said.
