Reusser retains world time-trial title on 35th birthday

Switzerland's Marlen Reusser won the women's time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal in 50 minutes 24.44 seconds. The time trial — riders race alone against the clock — covered 39.2km. Welsh rider Zoe Backstedt took silver, 40.11 seconds back. It was Reusser's second straight title, won on her 35th birthday.
