Sony exits Physint funding as Xbox agrees to publish Kojima spy game

Sony has stepped away from funding Physint, Kojima Productions' in-development action-espionage game. Xbox announced on 9 September 2026 it will publish the title under an expanded partnership. Kojima said Sony told him it could no longer fund development. Physint was first revealed as a PlayStation project with Sony's Columbia Pictures. No release date given.
