Townsend knocked over by pitch roller in Thailand but plays on

Andros Townsend, 35, was knocked over by a motorised pitch roller during half-time warm-up at Pattani on Saturday, The Guardian reported. The roller rode up his legs almost to his waist. The former England winger escaped serious injury and came on late as Prachuap won 3-0. He joked on Instagram: “Turns out Stoke away wasn’t so bad after all.”
