Netflix orders Ladies of the House from Sweet Magnolias team

Netflix has greenlit, meaning ordered to production, a series loosely based on Lauren Edmondson's Ladies of the House, Deadline reported on 20 September 2026. The trio-centred project is from Sheryl J. Anderson. JoAnna Garcia Swisher will executive-produce, meaning oversee, and is eyed to star, meaning wanted for a lead role. It follows Sweet Magnolias' cancellation after five seasons.
