Belmont Park racing returns after three-year gap

Horses raced at Belmont Park on 18 September for the first time in more than three years, the Guardian reported. That card opened the autumn season at the rebuilt New York track, standing since 1905 on the Queens-Nassau County line, the paper said. NYRA lists four rebuilt surfaces and a season running to 6 December.
