Carrot Top hospitalised and recovering after reported suicide attempt

Representatives confirmed on 19 September that comedian Carrot Top is in hospital and recovering. TMZ reported the hospitalisation followed a suicide attempt on 18 September. Representative Jami Schlicher said the 61-year-old, real name Scott Thompson, is receiving care and said his family asked for privacy. Schlicher did not disclose circumstances.
