Newsom signs standalone post-production tax credit into law

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 2319 into law on Friday, Deadline reported. The measure creates a standalone credit for post-production work including picture editorial, sound, music and visual effects, Deadline reported. The Motion Picture Editors Guild co-sponsored the bill with the California Post Alliance, Deadline reported.
