3,000-year-old deliberately buried horse found in Tell el-Abqain fortress

An Egyptian archaeological mission uncovered a 3,000-year-old horse skeleton in deliberate burial position inside the fortress at Tell el-Abqain in Beheira province, CairoScene reported. Archaeologists described the animal as a likely warhorse given an honorific burial, CBS News reported.
