Universal and Sony sue Suno over new v6 AI generator

Universal Music Group and Sony Music filed a copyright lawsuit against Suno on 18 Sept over its v6 AI generator, Billboard reported. The filing adds more than 61,000 songs and alleges v6 was trained on outputs from earlier models, calling it "the fruit of the same poisoned tree." The majors' 2024 case against Suno remains pending.
